The New Years' Party last night that made me sound so fun and cool? Well, I just sat around and ate lemon bars for a greater portion of the night. Really though, you can't ask for more than seeing out the year by satisfying what was a week-long craving, yes?
It's going to be a Good Year, I can tell. Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing me through yet another year and, as always, for being with me. The pictures are from a visit to the Getty this past week. It was really crowded, meaning all the exhibits were overrun with people and stuffy and damp-feeling (ew), but that's okay because I think the best part of the Getty is maneuvering through and about exhibits and coming in and out of random doors to random flights of stairs and balconies, in an attempt to chase down an even better view than the one you saw before. It's like a game. Really fun, trust me.
Twenty-twelve is going to be chock-full of things such as these (kindly see below): chasing down only that which will take my breath away (and is worth the breath of climbing all those stairs, yeesh), breaking some rules, branching out (har har), surrounding myself with various perspectives, drinking the nectar of life (I Googled what a hummingbird symbolizes, and there you have it) and...just trying to make sense of the people, spaces, and mediums I am in the midst of.
Like I said...it's going to be a Good Year. You'll see.
