last last weekend: the rest

I don't think I meant to post so much on that one weekend, but there was just so much stuff and stuffing going on. I can hardly believe it.

After North Beach, we went to the Mission for the SF Film Documentary Festival. (We made a stop at some Mexican Restaurant whose name slips in my mind, I was so wild for carne asada that everything else evades my memory). We watched "The Creators" (but more on that later).

Then came dinner at Pacific Catch, ice cream (there's always room for it), and hanging out at Steph's apartment and having fun with her stethoscope (those things are like $200 a pop! Who knew?). Sunday brought around a morning coffee date at Bica, and more hanging out. Monday was a blur of pastries, sushi, boba, and driving around. By that time, my photo-taking had dwindled significantly.

And at the end of the day, it wasn't even what we did, what we ate, or all the dogs we had to stop to pet. I think what I loved most was just having us together. That's always the best.

After we dropped Hana back off at the airport to go back to SoCal (a somewhat tearful goodbye), Sarah, Steph, and I went to Oakland Chinatown for dinner. We sat eating greasy bok choy with our questionably clean chopsticks, and it felt so comforting to be there. Homey. I don't know what it is with me, but lately I've been all about that elusive feeling of being at home.
